San Francisco writer Jacquelyn Verze-Reeher was born in Guam, U.S.A. From there the family moved to Appalachia where she was abused by her father. Later she fled with her mother to San Francisco. Jacquelyn grew up in homeless shelters, Public Housing Projects, and finally in the pleasant apartment complex where she currently resides. Despite her rough childhood, she is overcoming dyslexia and struggling through flashbacks and cyberstalking. Today she writes books for young adults with deep questions and strong female characters.
